Sunday tee times will be determined by flight (D first, A last) and scores from Saturday. Last year we had “91” players, lets try to beat that number this year. Any questions call one of the tournament members of Dave Drake, Charlie Downs, Gary Freimiller, Alex Hamner or Kurt Maassen.
USED GOLF BALLS = As you know the club at the end of the season gives used golf balls to Rawhide in Ft Branch who then gives the club monies which is then donated to various charities. The collection point is in the Pro Shop and we need your help. Collections are behind last years total as of this date. Please clean out your bag and donate. Thanks..
Congratulations to GARY FREIMILLER who shot a hole-in-one on Monday, July 21st. Gary used a 8 iron from 142 yards on Hole #15. This was Gary’s third hole-in-one. Witness’s were Larry Backes, Kim Knollman and Bill Kirk. His name will be placed on the Men’s Club Hole-In-One Plaque located across from the Men’s Club Board.
The 2009 U.S. Senior Open is Coming to the Crooked Stick Golf Course in Carmel, Indiana. The dates are July 27th thru August 2nd. If interested, ticket information can be obtained by calling 1 877 281 OPEN or online at www.2009ussenioropen.com
Ryder Cup = The club will be participating in a “Ryder Cup” type match against the Men’s Club of McDonalds and Helfrich Hills around the first of October. This will be a 54 hole event with 27 holes being played Saturday and Sunday on the same weekend. Team Members will be qualified from the gross finishing positions in the Fendrich Men’s Club Championship to be held in August. The top four (4) gross finishers in the A, B & C flights will be the team members with the 5th and 6th place finishers earning the alternate positions. We are still working out all the details and more information will be forthcoming. This sounds like a lot of fun and it will give us the opportunity to see how the other clubs stack up to our high standards. It will be a challenging weekend of golf and will need a certain amount of dedication from the players and support from the entire club. Lets all work on our games and play our best to earn a spot on our “Ryder Cup Team”.
Our fourth meeting of the year was held on Wednesday, July 9th at the Tee Box Restaurant. The meal was Farm Boy Ham.
